Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide mechanical engineering (piping, valves, fittings, pressure vessels) support to APLNG DS Operations
Support the Technical Authority for mechanical engineering functions
Development and maintenance of mechanical engineering practices and models in support of the Operations Technical Authority team
Provide oversight and mechanical engineering function support to all project phases of the optimisation and modifications projects group
Provide oversight of 3rd party engineering support for modifications project engineering design
Lead and participate in investigations for equipment failures and difficulties, including this will include assessment of the loss, diagnosis of faulty operations and recommendations for rectification for Operations staff
Assist the Asset Integrity Team in carrying out rigorous fitness for service assessment for pressure containment equipment.
For all projects and mechanical assessments ensure COP policies, procedures and values are followed and encouraged
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required
Mechanical Engineering degree
Minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience
Working towards Chartered Engineer status and RPEQ
Experience with P&ID and project flow diagrams
Experienced working in a team environment
Preferred
Experience working in a major hazard facility
Understanding of operations and maintenance processes
Experienced working with Management of Change processes
Mechanical Engineering practice with focus upon fixed equipment
